A business meeting (translation)

a translation of epic text about how meaningless our work is:

word-by-word translation (closest match to original, but a bit dull imho): http://www.morna.nl/post/4185018780/a-business-meeting

oh, and btw - if you ever wondered why Russian classic authors are so boring to read...

maybe you were unlucky and got formal, word-by-word translations ? it looses the tempo, it doesnt gains sharpness of english it also looses almost all emotional aspects (they are done using other methods)

try to read translations I've linked before side by side - and now try to imagine that Dostoevsky (Достоевский) or maybe Chekhov(Чехов) you're read is translated not like in link #2, but like in link #1 )))
